The course seeks to introduce the student to the concept of public relations, its definitions, its historical beginnings, its origins, its development, fields that are interested in it, its roles and the importance of its presence in organizations of different specializations, sizes and types, its divisions and departments, and the ideal form that it should have. The course also discusses the relationship of public relations with the internal and external public, and its relationship with higher management.
